Hallie Chen
Hallie Chen was born and raised in San Francisco. While studying urban planning at UC Berkeley for undergrad, she discovered her interest in architecture as a means to create inspiring social spaces and as tool for progressive community development. After completing a Masters in Architecture from Harvard’s GSD, she spent time in upstate New York exploring the connections between ecology, farming and architecture. Upon returning to the Bay Area she became an expert in commercial interior and office developments, before branching out to start CAHA. When not at our office or on-site, Hallie is a leader in youth design-build programs, bay area rock action and happens to be a pizza eater extraordinaire.

Casey Ramirez
Casey Ramirez is an interdisciplinary practitioner of design, art and custom fabrication. Raised in rural Napa County, he later attended Cal Poly SLO and Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) where he honed his architectural and creative design skills, graduating with degrees in Architecture and Fine Arts from RISD. He has worked on design and entitlement of California public schools; served as on-site project manager and site supervisor for large mixed-use renovations of historic factories in Philadelphia as part of a design/build/development group; gained hands-on construction experience designing and building custom homes in Northern California and Eastern Idaho; and has worked with well regarded Bay Area design/build firms creating stunning residential spaces until founding CAHA with Hallie in 2018. These experiences have allowed Casey to weave together a holistic approach to architecture - combining aesthetics, construction know-how and intimate material knowledge. Casey currently heads CAHA's Los Angeles office.
